Italian side Fiorentina are already thinking about trying their luck for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma in the winter transfer window.

La Viola lost defender Stefan Savic to Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window and are planning to increase their defensive options when the window opens again.

Former Saint-Etienne man Zouma is in their sights, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, with an offer expected to be made in the new year.

Chelsea added two defenders to their ranks on transfer deadline day, scooping up Papy Djilobodji from Nantes and also adding Michael Hector, although the latter has been loaned to Reading.

Fiorentina feel that Jose Mourinho may be willing to deal over Zouma and are prepared to try their luck.
