Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has reassured Tottenham Hotspur fans that their side will finish in the top ten in the Premier League this season.

Spurs have made a slow start to the campaign and only won their first match of the Premier League season last weekend, narrowly beating Sunderland away from home.

They sit 12th in the table and host Pardew's Palace at White Hart Lane on Sunday – and the Eagles boss is in no doubt about the quality Spurs have at their disposal.

He told a press conference this afternoon: "Spurs have some outstanding players. I'm a big fan of [Harry] Kane, [Nacer] Chadli and [Christian] Eriksen. They will definitely finish in the top ten."

However, Pardew says his Eagles side will not sit back and will instead look to push Spurs back as they aim to take charge of the match.

"The players are smiley and happy. We're going to go out and try to take the game to Spurs", he added.

Crystal Palace currently sit sixth in the table with nine points from five games and head to White Hart Lane on the back of a 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester City.

Pardew's men played their last away game at Stamford Bridge and stunned Chelsea with a 2-1 win.
