Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann rates Manchester United's Antonio Valencia ahead of Manchester City's Jesus Navas.

Navas turned out for the Citizens earlier today at the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City went down to a surprise 2-1 defeat to West Ham.

The Spaniard enjoyed plenty of the ball and looked threatening down the flank, but struggled to take full advantage of Slaven Bilic's men, who chose to double up on him in the second half.

Hamann believes though that Manchester City, who were dominant as they looked for an equaliser in the second half, could not have done any more.

"I think City played well. Couldn't have done any more. One of them days", the former Liverpool midfielder wrote on Twitter.

"Navas frustrates hell out of me though", he added.

Someone replied to Hamann and said that Navas reminds him of Valencia, but Hamann insists would always pick the Manchester United man given the choice.

"I'd have Valencia over him all day long", the German said.

Manchester City still sit top of the Premier League after their defeat, but have had their lead cut to just three points.
