Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen believes the future is very bright at White Hart Lane as the squad is packed full of talented youngsters.

Spurs ground out a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane on Sunday to record their second Premier League win in a row.

The winning goal came from new signing Heung-Min Son, who also scored a brace in a 3-1 midweek victory over Qarabag in the Europa League.

For Vertonghen, there are many reasons to be hopeful of a bright future at Spurs if the team can continue their promising form.

"We have great young players and a good mix, so there are great things for the team if we can keep working like this", the Belgium international was quoted as saying by the Press Association.

"It looks very good for the future", Vertonghen added.

The Belgian turned out for all 90 minutes of Spurs' 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, while young talents Kyle Walker, Eric Dier, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, Son and Harry Kane were in the starting eleven and new signing Clinton Njie came off the bench.

Spurs face an acid test this Wednesday when they welcome Arsenal to White Hart Lane for a League Cup tie, while Manchester City visit the ground for a Premier League game next weekend.
