FC Porto boss Julen Lopetegui believes that Jose Mourinho's Chelsea side will push them to their limits in their second Champions League group stage match on Tuesday.

The Premier League champions will be visiting Portugal for their second match in the tournament after having hammered Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0 earlier in the month.

The Pensioners' domestic form has been dismal though, and they languish in a disappointing 15th position in the league with eight points from seven matches, leading relegation battlers Aston Villa by four points.

The Porto manager, whose side currently lead the Primeira Liga though, insists that Chelsea's domestic form does not reflect their Champions League form.

And therefore Lopetegui believes that his side will have to play out of their skin to take something out of the match even though they will be playing at home.

"It would be great to celebrate the club's anniversary with a win against Chelsea", he was quoted as saying by ITV.

"Their league position does not affect their matches in the Champions League – they won their first game 4-0. They are a great team with great potential and we need to play really well, to our limits, and be technically and tactically perfect."

The Porto manager also took time to speak about his admiration for his Chelsea counterpart.

"I have great respect for Mourinho. He has been incredible in his career, very important to Porto because of his great achievements at domestic and European level.

"We are talking about a Chelsea team that has top players and a top coach. We are a team with a lot of hopes, ambitions and belief, but they will push us to our limits."
