Chelsea and Liverpool are two of three teams tracking Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho ahead of a potential January bid, it has been claimed.
The all-action Portugal midfielder has often been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United, however the pair appear content with other options at present.
But William could still end up playing his football in the Premier League in the new year.
Indeed, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, both Chelsea and Liverpool, along with Paris Saint-Germain, are looking closely at William.
The midfielder has only recently regained full fitness following an injury in the summer and will now be looking to push on for Sporting Lisbon.

The Portugal international has appeared just once for Sporting Lisbon so far this term, clocking up 21 minutes in a Primeira Liga game against Boavista.
