Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his delight after scoring over 500 goals in his professional career.

The Spanish club faced Malmo in the second game of their Champions League campaign and came away with a 2-0 win from Sweden. Ronaldo grabbed both goals for the visitors and with the brace his tally in all professional games – for club and country – has gone up to 501.

The Portugal international has been at the Santiago Bernabeu since the summer of 2009, when he moved from English Premier League club Manchester United after six seasons at Old Trafford, and has been breaking all sorts of scoring records at the Spanish club.

Talking about reaching the latest landmark, the forward expressed his delight, and termed it a great achievement.

“It’s not bad, yeah, well thank you very much”, he told BT Sport.
