Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been called up for the France squad by coach Didier Deschamps.

Sakho was left out of the last France squad and grew concerned about his place in the national team, especially with Euro 2016 in his homeland on the horizon.

But after regaining his place in the Liverpool team and captaining the Reds recently in the Europa League against French side Bordeaux, Sakho has won a recall.

He has been included in Deschamps' squad for friendly matches against Armenia and Denmark, set for over the international break.

Also included in the squad is Marseille midfielder Lassana Diarra, who receives his first call-up since 2010.
