Chelsea starlet John Swift has joined Championship outfit Brentford on a month-long loan deal.

The attacking midfielder is a product Chelsea’s youth academy – the club he joined in 2007 – and has progressed through the ranks to make a solitary first team appearance for the Blues.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at League One club Swindon Town and went on to play 19 matches for them, scoring twice and providing three assists in the process.

Swift has been a regular with the Chelsea Under-21 side, and this season he has made three appearances for the young Blues in the Under-21 Premier League Division I.

A statement released by the Chelsea website confirmed the completion of his loan move to the Bees.
