Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has said that he is satisfied with the way his team performed in last night’s Champions League win over Malmo.

The Spanish giants headed into the game on the back of a scoreless draw against Malaga at the Santiago Bernabeu and came away from their Swedish sojourn with a 2-0 win, courtesy of a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Benitez, who took charge of the Madrid outfit for the 2015/16 season after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, has said that he is satisfied with the display of his team as they managed to keep a leash on Malmo and came away with all three points.

“I am satisfied”, the Spaniard was quoted as saying by UEFA.

“We played much better than against Malaga.

“We had good possession and Malmo only had two or three chances that could be classed as dangerous.”

“We controlled the play well throughout and the substitutions were because some of my players were getting tired”, he concluded.

Real Madrid will be up against cross-town rivals Atletico Madrid in their next La Liga fixture due to be played at the Vicente Calderon this weekend and will be eager to get all three points from the difficult away trip.
