Barcelona are looking at the acquisition of Andriy Yarmolenko and Ilkay Gundogan in the January transfer window, according to Catalan daily Sport.

The Catalan giants are reeling under a FIFA-imposed two-transfer window ban that prevents the club from registering new players, and the ban remains in effect until January next year.

This season, the club have suffered a plethora of injuries to important players as Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta are both out nursing leg injuries. Rafinha Alcantara has been ruled out for several months with a knee setback.

And Barcelona are now looking for players to bring in in the January transfer window to prop up their beleaguered squad.

Yarmolenko, who has been plying his trade for Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv since 2007, is being eyed by the Catalans as one of the players to be brought in January.
