Former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player he has seen in his life and has listed the Portuguese alongside Zinedine Zidane as two of the best players of all time.

Ancelotti was in charge of Los Blancos for two seasons from 2013 until his departure at the end of the 2014/15 season. The Italian guided Real Madrid to their tenth European Cup in his first season and also helped them to a Copa del Rey trophy.

However, he finished his second season at the club without any major trophies and had to eventually leave the club as Rafael Benitez took charge of the side.

The Italian, who coached some of the biggest players in the world during his stints with AC Milan, Chelsea and Real Madrid amongst others, has said that Ronaldo is the best that he has seen in his life.

"He's the best player I've seen in my life”, he wrote in his column for Chinese portal Sina.
