Spain national team boss Vicente del Bosque has revealed that he isn’t happy with Diego Costa’s behaviour in Chelsea’s game against Arsenal, although the forward's omission from the Spanish squad has nothing to do with his form, he insists.

La Furia Roja are scheduled to play Luxembourg and Ukraine in their next two European Championship qualifiers, and Del Bosque has left out the Chelsea forward for the two games.

Costa has been banned for three games for his antics in a Premier League fixture against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge and the Spanish national team boss has admitted that he isn’t pleased with the forward’s behaviour.

“What he did wasn’t good, and that is why he was punished”, he was quoted as saying by Spanish daily AS.

“Of course, I didn’t like what he did."

However, he insisted that the decision to leave Costa out had nothing to do with his form, but it was based on the fact that he will be suspended for the clash against Luxembourg due to his infractions against Macedonia during the last international break.

“He can’t play the first game through suspension and we’ve decided not to bring him.

“He hasn’t played badly and it’s not on merit.”
