Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet feels that Sunday’s Merseyside derby against Everton is a great chance for the Reds to bounce back from last night’s Europa League disappointment.

Brendan Rodgers’ side were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Sion of the Swiss league in last night’s Europa League clash – it was their second successive draw in the competition as they shared points with Bordeaux in their opening game.

The Reds will travel to Goodison Park on Sunday to take on Roberto Martinez’s Everton in their next league fixture, and Mignolet feels that it provides a great opportunity for them to bounce back from the disappointing result in last night’s encounter.

"We can bounce back immediately, we've got a great game to look forward to", the 27-year-old was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

"Everyone knows it's a Merseyside derby on Sunday so we'll recover well after this game and make sure we're ready for kick-off time.

"If we can get a good result and the three points we'll be back where we want to be, so everybody will be focused."
