Ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United, Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is wary of the Magpies' displays against some of their bigger opponents this season.

The Citizens started their Premier League campaign brightly as they won their first five league games and took an early lead over their rivals in the title race, but they have lost their two subsequent games and have slipped to second behind Manchester United in the league standings.

Newcastle, on the other hand, are still looking for their first win of the league season, having drawn three and lost the other four games out of their first seven. However, they have held the Red Devils to a scoreless draw at Old Trafford and have played out a 2-2 draw against reigning English champions Chelsea at St. James’ Park.

And Pellegrini anticipates a tough fixture at the Etihad stadium against Steve McClaren’s men on Saturday.

“Tomorrow we have a tough game against Newcastle”, he was quoted as saying by his club’s site.
