Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer believes Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was sending out a message to Nemanja Matic today, telling the Serbian who is in charge at the club.

Mourinho brought Matic off the bench in Chelsea's 3-1 home defeat to Southampton, only to then later substitute him.

The Blues are struggling badly in the Premier League and have just eight points from eight games so far, something which has left Mourinho under real pressure.

After the match Mourinho vowed to fight on and said if Chelsea wish for him to leave they will have to sack him as he is determined to turn the ship around.

Shearer feels that there are big problems in the dressing room at Stamford Bridge and said on Match of the Day: "I think there are major problems in the Chelsea dressing room.
