Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian has revealed his hidden admiration for Manchester City’s football this season.

Manchester City started the season brightly and won their first five league games, which led to many believing that they will win the Premier League at a canter this term.

However, Manchester United steadily crept up behind them and overtook their city rivals at the top of the league table with their win over Sunderland last weekend.

Despite Manchester City’s recent form, Darmian admits that he has liked the way they have played this season and is waiting to play against them later this month.

The Italy full-back feels that Manuel Pellegrini’s men are brimming with potential.
