Sol Bamba feels Leeds United need to quickly get a grip on their record at Elland Road, which he admits is "annoying".

The Whites slipped to a 2-0 defeat at home to Birmingham City on Saturday, a result which means they have still not managed to record a win at Elland Road so far this season.

Bamba, who lined up at the back alongside Liam Cooper after Giuseppe Bellusci was dropped, believes that strong home form is the key to being successful in the Championship.

And as such the Whites need to quickly take action to remedy their Elland Road record or they will be going nowhere fast.

"I don’t think it’s about nerves or pressure. I just think we need to perform. After one home win things will change. It is all about getting that first one", Bamba said on LUTV.

"The home record is annoying. We need to address it very quickly. If you want to do anything in this league, you need to be strong at home.

"I’m told it’s seven months since we last won at home and that’s huge."

Bamba though is vowing to keep his feet on the ground and not overreact to the situation as he is confident if the Whites keep putting in the hard yards then eventually things will turn at home.

"But I don’t go too high when it’s good or too low when it’s bad. We just need to keep working hard. I’m sure that win will come."
