Philippe Coutinho has been forced to pull out of the Brazil squad due to injury, it has been confirmed.

The Liverpool midfielder had been included in Dunga's squad for Brazil's 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Venezuela.




But Coutinho has been forced to pull out, leaving Dunga to call up former AC Milan and Real Madrid star Kaka as his replacement.

The Brazilian played all 90 minutes in Liverpool's 1-1 draw away against Everton in the Premier League yesterday.
 


Coutinho has made ten appearances in all competitions for the Reds this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

Since landing at Liverpool, the 23-year-old has clocked up a total of 112 appearances, with 17 goals and 23 assists.

At international level, Coutinho has won 12 caps for Brazil and will be aiming to ensure he cements his spot in Dunga's thinking when fit and available for selection again.
