Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has lauded his players for yesterday's emphatic win over Borussia Dortmund, saying that the Bavarian giants have been in great form for quite some time.

Guardiola’s men played host to Borussia Dortmund at the Allianz Arena and inflicted a crushing 5-1 defeat on their rivals, courtesy of a brace apiece from Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski and a solitary strike from Mario Gotze.

It was an eighth successive win for the Bavarians in the Bundesliga and combining their two Champions League wins with it gives them ten wins out ten from all competitions, reflecting the astonishing form of the reigning German champions.

The former Barcelona boss has saluted his players for their remarkable win last night and took the opportunity to laud them for the great form they have been in.

“I congratulate my players, not only for this match, but for the last few months”, the two-time Champions League winning manager was quoted as saying by his club’s site.
