Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi has signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners.

The Lagos-born starlet has been with the Emirates Stadium outfit since he was in primary school and has progressed to become a mainstay in the club’s Under-21 team.

This season he has made seven appearances across the Under-21 Premier League and the UEFA Youth League, netting twice and providing as many assists for his team-mates.

The highly-touted youngster was with the Gunners’ first team during their pre-season tour of Singapore and has been on the fringes of first team action for the north London outfit.

The 19-year-old, who has represented England’s youth teams, has chosen to play for Nigeria and is currently on international duty with the Super Eagles for their upcoming games.
