Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko admits that refusing a chance to join Paris Saint-Germain would be hard, but has revealed that he is happy in England.

The 26-year-old was widely linked with a move away from Newcastle in the summer and Premier League giants such as Liverpool and Arsenal were reported to be after him.

However, the midfielder remained at St. James’ Park and has continued to remain a key member of a Newcastle side that have struggled to make their mark early in the season.

With the Magpies struggling, there is speculation that the player might not stick around and French champions PSG are regularly linked with the midfielder.

While he admits refusing a chance to join PSG would be hard to turn down, he insisted that he is happy in England and is enjoying playing for Newcastle week-in-week-out.

Speaking to Canal+'s Supporters Club, the Frenchman said: “Today [if there is an offer from PSG], it would be hard to refuse, but that is not the case at the moment.

“I am England; this league is for me, I love playing in it every weekend.

"I hope to continue and help Newcastle to achieve the best results.”

Sissoko remains a crucial member of Steve McClaren’s plans for this season, as he looks to help the club to recover from a poor start to the campaign.

The Frenchman has a contract until 2019 with the Magpies.
