Mesut Ozil is sure that Arsenal can beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League and believes his side's recent 3-0 drubbing of Manchester United proves why.

The Gunners have lost both their two opening Champions League group games, going down away to Dinamo Zagreb and then, in a shock result, at home to Olympiacos.

Next up for Ozil and company is a double-header against Bayern Munich and the pressure is on the Gunners to pick up points, something the midfielder appreciates.

Ozil, a Germany international, knows Bayern Munich's quality, but is sure Arsenal have the talent to put the Bavarians to the sword and explained that Arsene Wenger's men are confident of breaching the Germans' backline.

He told Bild: "That's right [we’re under pressure]. But the victory against Manchester United was also a sign.

"When we play and want it 100 per cent, then we can beat Bayern Munich. We are playing at home [for the first game].

"Although we respect Bayern, we don't fear them. We know how to score goals against Bayern and can be successful.

"It will be difficult, but we have the potential to beat any team."

Bayern Munich eased to a 5-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund before the international break and travel to play Werder Bremen in their first game back, before then heading to lock horns with Arsenal.
