Charlie Taylor has saluted the Leeds United fans after being voted the club's Player of the Month for September.

The left-back has been an ever-present under new head coach Uwe Rosler this season and turned on the style in Leeds' 2-1 win away at MK Dons.

Taylor won a penalty to allow Chris Wood to open the scoring in the Championship clash, while he then grabbed his side's second with an impressive solo run and finish.

Leeds had 6,000 fans supporting the side at MK Dons and Taylor is thankful for the club's faithful and their unswerving backing.

"The fans have been brilliant with me. I know what it is like to be a Leeds fan. They go everywhere and show us brilliant support", he told his club's site.

"There were 6,000 at Milton Keynes and it was great to come out of the tunnel and see all those fans. It was an incredible feeling.

"Everyone at the club appreciates that support. It is such a big help to us."

Leeds are still looking for their first win at home this season after going down 2-0 at Elland Road to Birmingham City before the international break.

They will be keen to pay the Whites' fans back for their support when they welcome Championship league leaders Brighton to Elland Road on 17th October.
