Liverpool hope to complete talks with Jurgen Klopp tomorrow and then swiftly announce the 48-year-old as their new manager on a three-year contract.

The Reds sacked Brendan Rodgers on Sunday evening after a disappointing start to the season continued with a 1-1 draw away at Everton.

They have moved quickly to secure the services of former Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp, who gave Liverpool encouraging signs when contacted.

Talks have proceeded swiftly and according to the BBC, Liverpool hope to complete a deal with the German tactician on Thursday.

Klopp would then quickly be announced as the new Liverpool manager, meeting the Reds' desire to have a new man in place by the end of this week.
