Ricardo Kishna claims he turned down Arsenal, Juventus and Roma in order to ink a deal with Lazio this summer.

The winger landed at Lazio from Dutch giants Ajax for a fee of €4m and put pen to paper on a contract with the capital club running until the summer of 2019.

Kishna has long been highly rated and the 20-year-old claims he was wanted by a number of Europe's elite clubs before he eventually opted to continue his career with Lazio.

The Netherlands Under-21 international explained to ELF Voetbal: "To play for Lazio I said no to other clubs who really wanted me, like Roma, Juventus and Arsenal."

Kishna is now looking forward to immediately enjoying Serie A, while he also explained that he had a good feeling when he thought about joining Lazio.

"I've always been a fan of Serie A and with the Biancocelesti there was immediately a special feeling."

Sporting director Igli Tare and coach Stefano Pioli also did a good job of selling Lazio to the Dutchman, who realised if he moved to the club he could be used right across the attack.

"I met the sporting director Tare and the coach Pioli in Brussels. Immediately they made me realise how much they wanted me at Lazio because I can play in all the roles in attack."

Kishna has so far made eight appearances in all competitions for Lazio, scoring one goal and providing his team-mates with a single assist.
