Tottenham Hotspur youngster Dele Alli feels honoured to have earned his maiden call to the England senior side for Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania.

The youngster, who arrived from Championship side MK Dons this summer after Spurs signed him in the new year, has had a positive start to his career at White Hart Lane, having already managed a total of ten appearances across three different competitions in the form of the Premier League, the Europa League and the League Cup.

The transition has been all positive with the young midfielder also managing to make his debut for England's Under-21 side last month.

Alli now feels extremely "proud" to have earned a senior call-up within such a short period of time as he teams up with the senior players for the double-header, first at Wembley tomorrow and then away against Lithuania on Monday.

“The training has been really good, really intense building up for the game on Friday. It’s a great moment for me and I’m really proud to be here”, Alli told the FA's official website.

“It’s always an honour to be picked for any age group for your country, and for the first team it’s great for me and my family."

St. George's Park, the Three Lions' venue for training, is nothing new for the 19-year-old, has he has gone there to train on multiple occasions.

“I’ve been here quite a few times. It really helps when you see all the other England players around. Like the young boy Tom [Davies], from Everton, who trained with us on Wednesday, you can see that he was confident and wasn’t overwhelmed by the big players.

“It really helps with the development of the players, when you see the seniors and they say hello and are all really nice.

“It’s reachable and it’s down to how hard you work. It’s important that all those young boys work hard and their chance will come.”
