Jurgen Klopp has demanded the final say over signings at Liverpool in order to take over as the club's new manager, it has been claimed.

The former Borussia Dortmund coach is keen to take over at Anfield and he is ironing out the final details of a three-year deal.

But Klopp, mindful of Liverpool's ownership imposed transfer committee, wants to have the final say on incoming and outgoing players.

According to German daily Bild, Klopp is not prepared to accept less control of transfers at Liverpool than he was accustomed to at Borussia Dortmund.

Klopp is expected on Merseyside today with his agent to conclude the final details of his move to take over at Liverpool.
