Jurgen Klopp, who is poised to take charge at Liverpool on a three-year contract, turned down an offer from Tottenham Hotspur, it has been claimed.

The 48-year-old German left his post at Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season following a poor campaign for the Ruhr giants.

One of the most sought-after managers in world football, Klopp is set to bounce back into the game at Anfield, succeeding Brendan Rodgers in the hot seat.

However, Liverpool are not the only English club to have approached Klopp.

Indeed, according to German daily Bild, Spurs made an offer to Klopp, wanting him to take over at White Hart Lane.
