Liverpool want Jurgen Klopp to keep Sean O'Driscoll and Gary McAllister on at the club, something which could create an issue given the German is bringing in his own men.

Klopp could be confirmed as Liverpool's new manager later today on a three-year contract, succeeding Brendan Rodgers, who brought in O'Driscoll as his assistant and McAllister as first team coach this summer.

The 48-year-old will bring in 54-year-old Zeljko Buvac and 43-year-old Peter Krawietz to support him at Anfield.

But according to German daily Bild, Liverpool have told Klopp they would like O'Driscoll and McAllister to remain at the club.

Nevertheless, it is unclear whether the pair will remain at Liverpool following Klopp's expected appointment and if they do stay, what their roles will be.

Liverpool replaced Colin Pascoe and Mike Marsh as assistant manager and first team coach, respectively, at the end of last season.

O'Driscoll and McAllister were appointed, but could not help Rodgers avoid losing his job, the Northern Irishman being sacked on Sunday.
