Rangers and Scotland goalkeeping coach Jim Stewart is wary of the Robert Lewandowski threat ahead of his national side's Euro 2016 qualifier against Poland later tonight.

The 27-year-old striker has been in prolific goalscoring form this season, having managed a total of 16 goals already in the eleven matches he has played so far.

What is even more noteworthy is the fact that 12 of the 16 have come in the last four matches, including the five he managed against VfL Wolfsburg last month.

While admitting that his team will have their work cut out against the in-form Poland striker, Stewart insists that he will try to make preparations to handle Lewandowski by gaining footage of him playing.

“He’s obviously in a good vein of form at the moment as we’ve seen in the games he’s played in the last couple of weeks”, Stewart told Rangers' official website.

“What we normally do is gain the footage of him playing, and with the goalkeepers, we’ll have meetings in terms of how he finishes, what his favourite way of finishing is and what areas he’s strongest in.

“So we’ll prepare them in the best way we can and hopefully we can get the victory we’ll need.”

The Scottish national side will also be boosted by the fact that they will have all their three main goalkeepers at their disposal and Gordon Strachan will have the strong pool of custodians to choose from.

“It’s amazing. We discussed it before the last round of games, and it’s probably the first time we’ve had the three of them together.

“You look at them and they are strong in terms of the number of caps, but the biggest thing about them is the professionalism they show in how they approach the games.

“No matter who plays, they are always supportive of the individual and they help each other."
