Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel believes Jurgen Klopp will find it hard to fulfil his promise of winning a league title at Liverpool.

The 48-year-old German was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at Liverpool yesterday and was presented in a press conference earlier this morning.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss is keen to bring in a palpable change at Anfield and has stated that he wants to win the league title with the club in the next four years.

And Schmeichel feels it was a mistake on Klopp’s part to say that as it has been more than two decades since Liverpool have won the English top flight.

They came close to winning the league title under Rodgers in the 2014/15 campaign, only to crumble under the pressure in the last few games of the season.

“Others have made the same promise! #It'sNotThatEasyMrKlopp”

Liverpool are currently tenth in the league table on 12 points and qualifying for next season’s Champions League is the club’s primary goal at the moment.
