Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has heaped praise on club legend David Seaman, saying the former custodian was very calm during games and made crucial saves.

Cech landed at the Emirates Stadium earlier this summer from reigning English champions Chelsea and has featured in all eight league games for the Gunners so far, keeping four clean sheets in the process.

He had a great day in goal in Arsenal’s last league fixture against Manchester United in their last league fixture at the Emirates Stadium as the hosts ran away 3-0 winners.

Cech has heaped praise on former Arsenal custodian Seaman, who had a 13-year stint with the Gunners from 1990 until 2003 and went on to make over 400 league appearances for the side.

“His personality [made him special]”, he told Arsenal Player.
