Tottenham Hotspur starlet Alex Pritchard has undergone surgery on his right ankle for the treatment of an injury he suffered on international duty.

The youngster spent the last season on loan at Brentford of the English Championship and went on to make 45 league appearances for the side. He contributed 12 goals and seven assists to the Bees' cause to help them reach the promotion playoffs.

He returned to White Hart Lane for the ongoing season and has made a solitary appearance for Mauricio Pochettino’s first team thus far.

The youngster also has two appearances for the Tottenham Hotspur Under-21 side this campaign.

The England Under-21 international suffered the setback while playing against Sweden during the European Under-21 Championship held earlier this year.
