Chelsea are pondering over calling back Nathaniel Chalobah from his loan stint at Napoli early in the winter transfer window.

The England Under-21 international joined the Serie A side in the summer on a season-long loan deal and the Blues were hoping that the defensive midfielder would gain crucial experience playing reularly for one of the big clubs in Italy.

However, the midfielder has seen very little action at the San Paolo and other than a five-minute cameo in the Europa League, Chalobah has not played for Maurizio Sarri’s team.

In fact, Sarri has decided against using the Englishman in any of their league games this season and according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the Blues are thinking about taking him back to England earlier than scheduled.

The Premier League champions are not happy that Chalobah has played very little football in Italy and if the situation continues, they are planning to cut short his loan at Napoli in January.
