Chelsea starlet Lewis Baker feels that the England Under-21 squad have a lot of talented youngsters in their ranks, adding that the players push each other to give their best.

Baker is a product of the Chelsea youth academy, the club he joined in 2005, and has progressed through the ranks to make a solitary appearance for the Blues’ first team.

The youngster has spent loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday and Milton Keynes Dons, and is currently on another loan stint with Vitesse Arnhem of the Dutch Eredivisie.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has given chances to several youngsters during his second spell at the club. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Izzy Brown and Kenedy are some of the players that he has given first team minutes to.

And Baker, who is joined by Chelsea starlets Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah in the England Under-21 side, has said that there is intense competition in Gareth Southgate's squad and the players push each other, so that gets the best out of everyone.
