Rangers forward Kenny Miller feels that the Gers are reaping the benefits of the good business they did in the summer transfer window.

Mark Warburton, who was previously at English Championship outfit Brentford, took charge of the side in the summer and brought in a number of new faces to Ibrox.

Wes Foderingham, Danny Wilson, Rob Kiernan, Andy Halliday, Martyn Waghorn, James Tavernier, Nathan Oduwa and Gedion Zelalem are some of the players that Warburton brought in at the club, either on loans or permanent transfers.

And Miller feels that the good signings in the summer have really helped the cause of the Gers as they sit top of the Championship standings, nine points clear of second placed Raith Rovers.

“We’ve signed some really good players and the lads have all hit the ground running and it’s been helped by the fact that we won our first few games”, the forward was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

Rangers started their season with a comprehensive 6-2 win over Hibernian after they came from behind, and Miller feels that the game set the template for the rest of the season.

“That first game against Hibs was so important the way that we came back and it gave us a belief in what we are trying to do.

“It gave the lads a real confidence to move forward and do what we’ve done.”
