Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will appeal his £50,000 fine and one-match suspended stadium ban handed out by the Football Association.

The Portuguese has been slapped with the punishment and has now received the written reasons from English football's governing body.

And having digested the findings of the report, Mourinho will now lodge an appeal.

Asked in a press conference about whether he has received the written reasons, has read them and will appeal, Mourinho replied: "Yes, yes, yes."

However, the Chelsea manager is unwilling to be drawn on making further comments about the FA as his appeal is under way.

"I have had the written reasons and I decided to appeal, so it's time to stop with my opinions", Mourinho added.

Chelsea are struggling in the Premier League this season after having eased to the title last term. Mourinho's men sit 16th in the league, collecting just eight points from their opening eight games.

Mourinho's men are next in action this coming weekend when they host Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge and the Portuguese will hope his side turn the corner.
