Ahead of tonight’s Scottish Challenge Cup quarter-final clash against Livingston, Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday has said that his team are eager to win the trophy after failing to do so in their past three attempts.

Rangers have enjoyed a phenomenal start to their league campaign as they sit atop the league standings with a perfect record after the first ten games of the season. They have put 33 goals past their opponents and have already built up a nine-point lead over second placed Raith Rovers in the title race.

The Gers have failed to lift the Scottish Challenge Cup as they have consistently come up short for the last three seasons.

And Halliday, who landed at the Ibrox outfit earlier this summer from Bradford City and has gone on to make 14 appearances across all competitions for the side, has said that the Scottish giants are determined to finally land the trophy this term.

“We want to win every game, and we want to win every cup we go in for”, he was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

“We’ve not won it in those four years, so we want to put that right, although there are still a few teams standing in our way.

“We’re confident we can do it, and we need to take the confidence from our previous games into tomorrow night.

“We played Livingston a few weeks ago and they were very well organised and a very hard team to beat.”
