Manchester United are keen on AC Milan's goalkeeping starlet Gianluigi Donnarumma, but despite the good relationship between Louis van Gaal and super agent Mino Raiola, have seen the talent decide to remain in Italy for now.

Scouts from the Red Devils have been regularly taking in the 16-year-old's performances, while he has also attracted the prying eyes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Donnarumma has been tipped for great things and today made his Serie A debut in a 2-1 win over Sassuolo. It was thought that the relationship between Van Gaal and Raiola, who represents the goalkeeper, could see him head to Manchester United.

But according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, despite Manchester United making clear in recent months their desire to sign him, Donnarumma has chosen to remain at the San Siro.

Donnarumma believes his development prospects will be better served by remaining in his homeland with AC Milan than switching to Old Trafford, and was today given proof he is correct by making his Serie A debut.
