Wojciech Szczesny has revealed that he is ready to return to Arsenal if they want him back at the end of the season, but will need to hold talks with the Gunners.

Roma signed the Poland goalkeeper from Arsenal in the summer on a season-long loan deal and the 25-year-old has established himself as the first choice goalkeeper at the Stadio Olimpico.

The 25-year-old is enjoying his time at Roma as the club are currently just a point off league leaders Fiorentina after eleven games and are one of the favourites to lift the title.

However, Szczesny admits that if Arsene Wenger wants him back at the Emirates then he will return as he stressed that essentially he still has a contract with the north London side.

The goalkeeper told Gazzetta dello Sport: “My answer has to be understood well.

“I am an Arsenal player and I still have a contract with them. If they want me back, then I’ll go back; I have nothing else to say.”

However, he insisted that he is happy at Roma and is enjoying life in Italy.

The Pole stressed that his commitment towards the club should not be doubted and he is ready to give his all until the end of his time at the Stadio Olimpico.

“That said, I am happy here and I want to give my best for this club until I am here. Whether for a season or ten, I will give my 100% until the end.

"We talk about my returning to Arsenal. We will talk at the end of the season. For now I'm happy and fine here."
