Manchester United are expected to watch Rosenborg midfielder Ole Selnaes in action tonight against Lazio in the Europa League.

Schooled at Rosenborg’s youth academy, the 21-year-old midfielder has caught the eye of scouts from across Europe with his performances this season, both in Europe and the Norwegian top flight.

His performances have been one of the key reasons why Rosenborg are currently ten points clear at the top of the Norwegian top flight and have already been crowned champions for the first time since 2010.

Selnaes has also been instrumental in the Europa League for the club and his performances are finally attracting the interest from clubs across Europe, including Manchester United.

According to VG Sporten, a Manchester United scout is expected to run the rule over the 21-year-old’s performances tonight as Rosenborg host Lazio at the Lerkendal Stadion.

Selnaes has represented Norway at all levels of youth football and is expected to soon make his senior debut, after being part of the squad during recent times.

At 21, he has already made 130 appearances for Rosenborg and the club could find it hard to keep hold of the player if he continues to maintain his high level of performances in the near future.

He has a contract until 2017 with the club.
