West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic is continuing to have Burak Yilmaz assessed ahead of a potential January transfer window move for the Galatasaray striker.

Bilic was linked with moving for Yilmaz over the summer, but the Turkey international stayed put at the Turk Telekom Arena, much to Galatasaray's relief.

However, the Hammers have continued to monitor Yilmaz and are stepping up their scouting of the striker, according to Turkish outlet Takvim.

Bilic is having a detailed assessment of Yilmaz drawn up by West Ham's scouting department and is actively considering lodging an offer for the striker.

Yilmaz has been prolific for Galatasaray during his time at the club so far, hitting an impressive 77 goals in 133 appearances, including five in 13 this season.
