Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has insisted that he believes his side are favourites in today’s El Clasico at the Bernabeu Stadium.

Los Blancos, who succumbed to a 3-2 loss to Sevilla in their last match, are currently second in La Liga with 24 points from 11 games, three behind leaders Barcelona.

But still Benitez feels Real Madrid will have the upper hand in the high-voltage clash, owing to their home advantage.

However, the Spaniard was quick to add that he expects a difficult contest between the Spanish giants, which is sure to please both set of fans.

“We’re playing in our stadium, with our fans and I think Madrid are favourites”, Benitez was quoted as saying by Spanish daily Marca.
