Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has revealed that he is not ruling out a return to the Premier League in the future.

The Welshman, who joined the Spanish giants from Tottenham Hotspur for £85m in 2013, has often been linked with a return to England, with Manchester United being the front-runners to acquire his services.

However, Bale insists that he is happy at Real Madrid and that he is aiming to win trophies with Los Blancos.

But the 26-year-old, whose present contract with Real Madrid runs until 2019, explained that he may return to the Premier League later in his career.

"My plan when I first started playing was to try to reach the pinnacle – and Real is the pinnacle", Bale was quoted as saying by the BBC.

"I am enjoying my time here. Now I'm here, I want to win trophies and to win titles, and just do the best I can for my career.

"I will never say never when it comes to going back to the Premier League, because you don't know what the future holds."

Bale has thus far amassed a total of 100 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 41 times and providing 36 assists.

The former Spurs star, who has 54 caps and 19 goals for Wales to his name, has helped the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium outfit to win a Champions League, a Copa del Rey, a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup.
