PSV Eindhoven defender Hector Moreno is in line to start against Manchester United in the Champions League on Wednesday, according to Dutch daily the Eindhovens Dagblad.

The 27-year-old returned to the Dutch club on Thursday, following his international duties with Mexico.

PSV boss Phillip Cocu wants Moreno to be fresh for the clash against the Red Devils, and hence did not play the centre-back in the 2-2 draw with Willem ll at the weekend.

The 27-year-old was in the thick of action in the corresponding fixture in September, with Moreno first breaking Luke Shaw’s leg in a clumsy challenge in the first half before scoring the equaliser for his side after the break in the famous 2-1 win at the Philips Stadion.

PSV are currently second in Group B of the Champions League with six points from four games, just one adrift of leaders Manchester United.
