Liverpool legend John Aldridge is of the opinion that Adam Lallana looks like a different player under new boss Jurgen Klopp.

The England international was signed by former Reds manager Brendan Rodgers from Southampton last summer.

Lallana’s start to his Liverpool career was hampered by injuries as he struggled in his first season at Anfield.

The 27-year-old scored six goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside giants in the 2014/15 campaign.

However, Lallana has been in good form since Klopp took charge of the club last month, and the midfielder put in a memorable display in the 4-1 win over Manchester City at the weekend.

And Aldridge feels Lallana is now close to being the star performer he was during his spell with the Saints.

“Adam Lallana is like a different player”, he was quoted as saying by Liverpool’s official site.

"With Lallana now it’s just about adding more goals and assists to his all round play.

"Just a little bit more creativity and he’ll be back to that player we saw a couple of seasons ago."

Lallana, whose present deal with Liverpool runs until 2019, has scored two goals in 15 games for the Reds in the present campaign.
