Chelsea are showing an interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur linked midfield wonderkid Amadou Diawara from Bologna.

The young Guinea midfielder joined Bologna last summer from San Marino Calcio and has already established himself as one of the regular starters in Roberto Donadoni’s side this season.




At 18, the midfielder’s performances have attracted scouts from all across Europe and there is speculation that clubs such as Inter, Juventus and Tottenham are in the race to sign him.

There have also been rumours that Bologna have knocked back a bid from Schalke for the midfielder and according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Chelsea have entered the chase for his signature too.
 


Rumours of Chelsea’s liking for the player have been floating around, but it has been suggested that the club now have concrete interest in the 18-year-old midfielder’s signature.

Despite his tender years, Diawara has already made 14 appearances for Bologna and is expected to remain a regular feature in the team for the rest of the season because of his consistent performances.

The youngster has a contract until 2020 and Bologna are not expected to bow down to pressure from top clubs unless they receive a hefty fee for his transfer.
