Mats Hummels could decide to pack his bags at Borussia Dortmund in the summer, something which may put Manchester United on alert after they tried to sign him last summer.

After months of speculation surrounding his future at the club, the Germany defender committed his future to Dortmund before the start of the season. He admitted interest from Manchester United was an honour, but explained he chose to stay at Dortmund. However, things have not been all rosy in recent days.

His recent performances in the league have been subjected to heavy criticism from all quarters and there are claims that all is not well between Hummels and Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel.

In the background of all the speculated problems for Hummels at Dortmund, it has been suggested that the club and the player are edging closer towards a parting of ways.

According to German daily Bild, the Germany international could decide to leave the Westfalenstadion because of his consistent problems with the club and the coach.
