Leeds United legend Eddie Gray feels the Whites will be more confident away to Queens Park Rangers than they have been at home this season.

The Whites will be travelling to London on Saturday to take on QPR on the back of a sobering home defeat to relegation dwellers Rotherham at Elland Road last weekend in the Yorkshire derby.

Leeds were putting together a good run of results under Steve Evans before their old boss Neil Redfearn and his Rotherham side did a job on them at home on Saturday.

The Whites’ home form has been a cause for concern since last season and five defeats out of nine league games at Elland Road this term paints a sorry picture of them in front of their own fans.

Gray believes Leeds should look more confident at Loftus Road on Saturday, because they have rarely looked comfortable at home this season, which he feels is a major concern for Evans.

The Leeds United legend said on LUTV: “The home form is worrying and it has got to improve.

“We have a great record at QPR in recent seasons and probably go there in a more confident frame of mind than when we are playing at home.

“It shouldn’t be the case.”

Leeds are currently 16th in the league table on 19 points.
